The Port of Coupeville thanks those who shared concerns about a gun rights event held recently at Greenbank Farm. Fortunately, the event took place without incident. Yet concerns expressed remind us of how fortunate we are to live and work in such a compassionate community. The publicly-owned Greenbank Farm is made available for a variety of functions, including events for the exercise of free speech. We must be lawful in managing access equitably, which may mean leasing space on occasion to those who have views that differ from our greater community. And while we respect that views on political issues vary, the Port of Coupeville and Greenbank Farm honor the values of justice and equality, and stand united with our community against bigotry and division. Thank you for connecting with us. It makes a difference.
