This year marks the 120th anniversary of the historic Coupeville Wharf on Whidbey Island. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community – island residents and visitors! Many changes have taken place over the decades that mirror economic and cultural changes in the region. Throughout 2025, we will commemorate some of the highlights at the Wharf over the years.
Coupeville Wharf Anniversary Party – Saturday, July 19th – Noon to 6:00
Save the date for the Coupeville Wharf Anniversary Party. We’re creating special historical exhibits and planning celebratory activities for all ages. We’re excited that one of the last remaining ships from the historic Mosquito Fleet will be at the Coupeville Wharf dock for the anniversary Public tours are available during the day.
Coupeville Wharf Restoration Ribbon Cutting – The anniversary event kicks off with a ribbon cutting, which marks the completion of six years of rehabilitation work to repair and strengthen the Wharf’s infrastructure.
Virginia V Penn Cove Cruises

A section of the Wharf pier will be sectioned off and transformed into a beer garden for adults 21+. Beverages include: Misfit Cidery, Wicked Teuton and Crossed Arrow
