Master Gardeners Celebrate Orca Recovery Day – Orca and Salmon Health Starts Uphill
The Whidbey Island Conservation District has invited Island County Master Gardeners to help celebrate ‘Orca Recovery Day’ on October 15th by organizing an event at Greenbank Farm. Following a 2 hour volunteer work party to maintain the Greenbank Farm raingarden, Island County Master Gardeners will be giving 10-15 minute talks on several sustainable gardening practices. A clinic table will also be available during this event to answer any gardening questions that the community may have.

Whidbey Island Conservation District volunteer cleanup of the Greenbank Farm raingarden that is located next to the playground. Master Gardeners will loan shovels, rakes and hand tools to help with the cleanup. Volunteers are invited to bring their favorite garden tools.
